Alice A. Dickstein

Alice Dickstein is a proven leader in elementary reading and language arts publishing. She has comprehensive expertise in creating and producing reading texts, managing staff and finances, coordinating sales and marketing, and communicating with educational leaders and corporate management.

Alice served as Editor-in-Chief, Reading and Language Arts, at Scholastic Inc., where she helped create Literacy Place, the
highly regarded K–6 reading and language arts program. Alice conceptualized and managed Scholastic Phonics Readers, as
well as the development of WiggleWorks, a groundbreaking
K–2 technology-based early reading program.

Prior to her work at Scholastic, Alice served as Supervising Editor, Primary Reading at Macmillan/McGraw-Hill and as Editor of Elementary Reading/Language Arts at Prentice Hall.

Alice joined Brown Publishing Network in 2001 as executive director of the New York office.
